The SolentGo app downloads purchased tickets from the Solent Go website to your existing Solent Go smartcard.To use the app you need to sign up for a Solent Go smartcard first and download the app to your device. The SolentGo app is compatible with the majority of NFC enabled Android phones and tablets, including Google Nexus 5X, 6P, 7 & 10 devices. If your Android device does not feature NFC you will not be able to use this app to load purchased tickets to your Solent Go smartcard. Check you have a compliant Android device & download the app. Once you have opened the app, present your smartcard to the correct part of the device. If you are not sure where to place the smartcard we recommend you check with the device manufacturer. Once you know your device can read your smartcard you are ready to visit the Solent Go website (www.solentgo.co.uk) to purchase your tickets.To top up simply follow the onscreen instructions. When you get to the point of choosing your method of collection you will need to select ‘Solent Go NFC Android App’. Once payment is complete and your order has been confirmed you are ready to load your products onto your smartcard using the SolentGo app. You are now ready to travel!The SolentGo app does not replace the Solent Go smartcard, nor can a smartphone or tablet be used as evidence that a valid ticket has been purchased.The app now automatically checks for and applies updates.

Do not get this! Opened the app, can't even do what you need to do, then when you close it, it opens up and can't do anything else! Had to restart the phone to delete the app! Do not recommend. Would give 0 starts, but 1 will suffice
Most annoying app in the world, wouldn't stop popping up!! Made my phone unusable, in the end just about managed to delete it
The app keeps randomly opening even when not near a reader. Then when I close the app it keeps opening. I end up having a battle with the app while I'm trying to do other things on my phone as it pops up around 15 times.
AVOID! Loaded app to my Samsung phone and it WOULD NOT SHUT DOWN. Every time I closed it immediately reopened. Try moving to a different screen and Solent Go pushes to the front. Took a lot of faffing about to finally uninstall it. Help button just showed a link to their webite that didn't work. FAQs all read "See website for details". Poorly designed and not properly tested before being launched. Really shoddy workmanship

utterly useless makes no sense
The app doesn't work upon first try. Useless and complete waste of time.
Google should delete this app, as it is a fraud. I topped up my card and now they do not load on my card. They do not reply to my emails. I ask Google to take action and delete this app.
Can't be used as the card
Great - allows me to see how many trips are left on my card and a convenient way to top-up. Works every time
